Questions prompt reflection. They ignite curiosity, which create ideas, which lead to decisions. Purposeful questions can help you think in new ways and find answers that aren’t immediately obvious. They improve your self-awareness, giving you the ability to adapt to your environment more effectively. Internal thoughts can be brought into the spotlight by asking yourself thought provoking questions. We can never have all of the answers, that would be far too easy! How you answer these types of questions is the key to help you move forward in your life.
Life Coaching is not just about solving problems, it helps you avoid problems. As a Coach I will challenge your current thinking and provoke deeper or alternative thinking. I will explore options and give you the tools and the space to be more intentional about your actions and focus on your issues or goals from a different perspective. I can teach you how to ask the right questions about your business, career or your personal life. The type of questions are usually ones that you will be afraid to ask yourself, but the answers will help you gain clarity, understanding and perspective.
This is one of my favourite questions and can be related to anything in your life, personal or professional:
“If today were the last day of your life, would you want to be doing what you’re doing?” Steve Jobs
If the answer is no, maybe it’s time to get a coach on your side. I can’t give you the answer, but I can help you find your own answers. When a client experiences the ‘penny drop’ moment, they have an inner realisation of what they need to do and feel empowered to get on and do it. This is when they make a plan and take action to move forward. This is the beauty of Life Coaching!
Take the leap of faith. Make the Change. Not tomorrow. Not next week, but NOW.
