2.   Accept that you will fail along the way.  Make sure you learn from the failures and do things differently next time you try (always make sure there is a next time!).

3.   Never try and be something you aren’t just to please someone else.  Always be true to yourself and if they don’t like it, get rid of them from your life.

4.   Work hard, play hard.  It’s pointless working your backside off day in day out and not enjoying life with your friends and family.  Balance is the key to a better life.

5.   Look after yourself because no one else will do it for you.  Eat well, keep your body moving and make sure you get plenty of rest.  Healthy body = healthy mind.

6.   Life isn’t always plain sailing.  Accept that things are going to go wrong and sometimes there’s nothing you can do to stop it from happening.  Learn how to deal with situations like this so they don’t impact you as much, when they do happen.

7.   Surround yourself with people who support you and genuinely want to see you do well.  There are plenty of false people out there who call themselves friends, waiting for you to fall.  Choose not to have them in your inner circle.  Trust me it’s a relief not to have to worry about people like this.

The only way to improve your life is to consistently make choices that are good for you, not everybody else.  Don’t base your success or happiness on the material things you have in life.  Base it on how you live your life and more importantly how you feel about yourself.
